District Patches

Due to the large size of the Council, it has been split into a number of different districts. The names and boundaries of these districts have changed over the years. Here is a list of the District names I have seen in various sources:

These patches were issued for a wide variety of district events. Some districts only issued a few patches before being reorganized, while others have been quite prolific.

I scanned many of these patches years ago when file sizes were usually kept low both for space and for download times. I hope to redo these in larger sizes in the future.

Iroquois District - Klondike Derby

The Klondike Derby is a cold-weather event held at Camp Wauwepex/Schiff Scout Reservation.

Iroquois District - Operation Bluenose

Bluenose is a cold-weather camping activity. It was originally held at Camp Wauwepex by the Nassau Blazers District, and moved to Onteora in 1993.

This patch was available from 1993 to 1998.	There was also a pin for those who received Basic Training.	Advanced Training pin
The earlier patch was replaced with this version beginning in 1999.	Each year, campers received a small dog for the sled, showing the year and District name. Each of the dogs for 1993-2000 are shown here.	Undated dog for 2000

Kings Point Camporee

Information from Garry Vaiana: This is a local event sponsored by the Kings Point Eagle Scout Association. This is a weekend overnight camporee, and has been held annually at the academy grounds at King's Point Merchant Marine Academy since 1991. It is an invitational Camporee that is attended by Troops and posts from around the NY Area, mostly North Shore Nassau County Troops and some Explorer/Venture units

Lynbrook Camporees

The city of Lynbrook has held a number of joint events between local Boy Scout and Girl Scout units. Here are some of the patches from these events. [Note: I need to verify which of these I have.]
