Camp Wauwepex patches 1970 - Today

More patches from Wauwepex, beginning with the summer camp issues, followed by specialized patches issued over the years. After the end of the traditional summer camping experience in 1976 Wauwepex has been heavily used for a wide variety of Cub Scout programs; those patches have their own page which can be accessed via the menu at the bottom of this page. District events that list Wauwepex on their patches are on those pages.

I scanned many of these patches years ago when file sizes were usually kept low both for space and for download times. I hope to redo these in larger sizes in the future.

Summer camp patches

Here are the patches from the last years that Wauwepex was operated as a full-service summer camp.

These fishing days were held right after the State stocked Deep Pond. I imagine the fishing was great!

Ecology and Nature Trail patches

These were issued for hikers who completed special trails around the property. Different colors were issued for different years. Please let me know if you can identify the years these were issued. The Sunken Lake trail was abandoned when the Council sold off part of the property it crossed.

Wauwepex Society

The Wauwepex Society was established in 2005 to support and promote camping at Wauwepex. It does not appear to have been active in recent years.
