The next group of patches shows there has been quite an explosive amount of growth in the number of OSR patches released in recent years. This reflects a new trend in patch collecting where patches are being issued for all sorts of events, not just the traditional one for summer camp.
I scanned many of these patches years ago when file sizes were usually kept low both for space and for download times. I hope to redo these in larger sizes in the future.
Please let me know if you have any patches not shown - even a scan would be appreciated.
Let's start with the Summer Camp issues, as they are most closely linked to why the camp exists in the first place.
These patches given to volunteers who worked on getting the camp ready for the summer season. The Beaver Weekend patches were replaced with the International Brotherhood of Pre-Camp Workers beginning in 2005.

In 1999 a new program was begun to encourage families to spend a weekend at Onteora. Some of these weekend events have been held together with the Onteora Alumni Association annual weekend.

Please let me know if you know of any other patches for this section.
The OAA began with a large reunion in 2001 to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Onteora. The association itself was formed in 2002 and exists to help promote program activities at OSR, and to provide a bridge between the traditions of the past with the Scouting of today. Membership is open to all former campers and Staff, or anyone else interested in keeping Onteora one of the top Boy Scout camps in the country. More information will be provided on the OAA as I continue to update the site.
Please note that I have been a member of the OAA since Day 1 and likely have many of these patches and just need to find them! I'm also not sure if we did patches for all of the Fall Weekends - if you have scans or know that we did not issue patches for some years please let me know.
