Scout Shows Patches

There have been many patches released as mementoes from Scout shows of all types.

I scanned many of these patches years ago when file sizes were usually kept low both for space and for download times. I hope to redo these in larger sizes in the future.

Cavalcades

The Cavalcades were an exhibition of Scouting skills - and a big source of income for the Council. They were held on a bi-annual basis back when I was involved. They were massive events - more than 250 troops participated in the 1965 Cavalcade, for example. The usual site was the now-defunct Roosevelt Raceway.

Pow-Wows

These meetings of the adult volunteers from the unit and District levels are for the purpose of developing the annual Scouting program for the Council.

Round Ups

Round ups were annual council-organized events to recruit members. Each Scout who brought a friend to a meeting received a patch.

Scoutwalk

Another Council fund raiser, which began in 1994. Scouts sign up sponsors and then walk to earn money. Held each April.
