For those of us
who attended the 2001 Alumni Weekend, it looked like there was little
chance that the Long House kitchen would be in shape for next
summer. The floor was uneven piles of dirt, and parts of the
exterior wall were missing. Thanks to the continuing hard work by a
band of dedicated volunteers significant progress has been made
since then. The kitchen now sports a concrete floor and other
essential pieces.
After the work at
the Long House a camp inspection was held to make sure things were
buttoned up for the winter. This included stops at the A-Frames and
the new Dan Beard Shelter.
Thanks to whoever
it was that sent me these pictures. Somehow I managed to lose your
name, so please step forward and be identified! |
